Perfect Company gets ‘smart kitchen’ patent

Vancouver-based Perfect Company, the developer of connected kitchen products, said it has been issued an additional patent for its “connected culinary scale and recipe app technology.”

“… the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued US Patent No. 9,772,217, which grants further intellectual property rights to functions of Perfect Company’s scale and recipe app platform, building on the protections previously put into place with US Patent No. 8,829,365,” said Perfect Company.

Perfect Company aded that following receipt of ‘217 patent and the recent successful reexamination of ‘365 patent, it has filed a second patent infringement lawsuit against Adaptics Limited for its Drop Kitchen Recipe App and Scale in the US Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington.
