Kajeet, a provider of safe, mobile student internet connectivity, said it entered into patent licensing agreements for its portfolio of US patents with Family Zone Cyber Safety Limited and Mobile Guardian Limited.
Family Zone Cyber Safety is a publicly-traded company headquartered in Australia that offers a cyber safety platform for families, and Mobile Guardian Limited is a privately-held company based in the UK that provides a mobile device management product to safely manage student devices and content inside and outside the classroom.
“As the first company to launch mobile devices with parental policy and payment/funding controls, we have invested substantially over many years in research and development in the realm of mobile technology,” said Kajeet CEO Daniel Neal.
“The innovative technologies we designed and developed mean safer mobile services for families and children, and extend into a wide range of enterprise uses that increase control and security, save money, and empower enterprises that use mobile technologies.
“We are committed to ensuring that Kajeet technology is available to our licensees and are delighted to announce the licensing of our patented technology to our partners, Family Zone Cyber Safety and Mobile Guardian.”
Family Zone Cyber Safety CEO Tim Levy said: “As Family Zone Cyber Safety extends its successful growth trajectory into the United States, we are excited to have behind us the unique competitive advantage of a license to the Kajeet patents.”
